Janelle Bug

I had a great time with my little Janelle Bug today. We made a couple of stops after school today. I took her to her favorite place to get a quick ice cream cone ... Sonic. We get a kick out of that place, being on roller skates and all.

Janelle took her regular evening tub and got snuggled into her hot cocoa night shirt and settled in at the table for a page of her homework. I have to say, I have the best child ... she really is good about doing her homework. She would rather not have it, but she is responsible in getting it done before she does anything else. We worked on a page of telling time and a page of adding coins. I really am proud of her, she is doing so well in school. I also enjoy working with her, in a non-classroom setting. Really, how cool it that to have your kitten sitting right by you, watching you do your homework?

Janelle asked if we could do some cooking ... hmmm, she isn't talking about making a salad or casserole. Cooking means cupcakes! I just couldn't resist saying yes since we were having such a great evening. Why not? We chose between the yellow cake mix or the devils food mix (in which I was hoping she would choose) nope, it was yellow and yellow was fine. In goes the eggs from Rebecca's chickens. I have to say, these are the best eggs with such a rich, orange yolk. I know for a fact that Rebecca spoils her chickens to no end, so I think that makes them taste that much better.

The cupcakes turned out very well, and they look beautimus with the pink frosting with Valenine sprinkles on top that Rebecca gave to Janelle in her Valentine bag ... she just knows Janelle too well.

Oh yeah, we had to snap a picture of the best lookin' cupcake, in which I proudly offered to Janelle. I on the other hand chose one with more frosting. I just love my little cupcake eater!
