Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is the day ... I will be digging into some of the SEVEN new stamp sets I ordered from Stampin' Up! I think I am most excited for the Branch Out set and Cheep Talk, and Simple Birthday Thanks. It is the cute cupcakes that always get to me, one way or another. Mostly in the way my jeans fit, but they make darn cute cards too.

My plans today, are to take my sweet Janelle out for a little quality Mommy time today while Dad is working. Her restaurant of choice is the golden arches...hmmm. I was hoping for something a little classier, but that is ok, my valentine can choose where ever she would like to go. :)

I woke up with a horrible cold ... whahhh, I knew it was coming, but just was hoping it wouldn't get this far.

So last month I was watching one of my favorite morning shows ... either AM Northwest or Better. They were talking about colds and what to do for these pesky germs. This lady swears by this ... first you soak your feet in hot water. It has to be HOT, not just a little warm. Then you take a cotton sock and run it under COLD water, wring them out, and put them on your feet. Then you take a pair of wool socks, (which my brother just happened to give me two awesome pairs of Columbia Sportswear wool socks that I call my recess socks for work, which I love) and you wear them to bed. When you wake up in the morning, not only will your socks be dry, but your cold will be gone.

OK, I am not into buying bridges or anything, but I really am kind of thinking of trying this. Not only will this give me something to talk about at the lunch table at work, but it will hopefully keep my blog readers coming back. ;) yeah whatever ... go ahead and sign me up for therapy, who couldn't use it!

I like calm ... I love hanging out with my daughter and husband. I enjoy being at home, My favorite thing in the winter is a clean house, snow falling and me watching it with a cup of peppermint cocoa in my jammies!
