This is where I have been ...

I suppose this can be considered a HUGE craft I have been working on!

Our first project was painting the kitchen ... I have said farewell to the RED and I mean RED walls that I thought would look so awesome a couple of years ago. Now I think the Lyndhurst Gallery Beige is awesome! LOVE IT!

I really enjoy paining, but really it needs to be the not so hard to reach places. I had to snicker when my husband was on the ladder ... I heard him say, hey, I thought this was all YOUR idea and YOUR project. Works every time! :) He did however want me to sign a contract saying that I will not change the wall color for 10 years ... OH MY ... I will NOT be signing that, he knows me better than that!

So, the kitchen is pretty much done, but the next project is all mine! I am doing a modern antique version on my kitchen cabinets. Once I took a look at them at Lowe's I knew I HAD to do that. Once my husband went to look at what I was talking about, he also knew I HAD to do it! So, here I am, up to my elbows in Valspar primer, and then satin finish, in Mistique! Once you prime and finish, you use 180 grit sand paper and sand just the edges, which is the antique part of the job! I am far from done, but plan to use part of my sunny weekend painting and guarding the cats and the family from touching the paint while it is drying!

I like calm ... I love hanging out with my daughter and husband. I enjoy being at home, My favorite thing in the winter is a clean house, snow falling and me watching it with a cup of peppermint cocoa in my jammies!
