Seasonal blogger?

I have discovered that I may possibly be a seasonal blogger! Not that I haven't stumbled across some fantastic ideas or made some wonderful things, but simply because I have had my mind or hands busy, doing other things. Well ... school is almost out and I have been feelin' a little bit of mojo coming my way, so here goes!

I have set up a facebook page for my Stampin' Up! Demo site .... if you haven't checked it out, please find me here ... http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=hp#!/pages/Cindy-Lachine-Independent-Stampin-Up-Demonstrator/153759344687153 and "like" me on my page!

Trying to catch up on a few things that I wanted to share with you ...

Here is a picture of the loot my stamping pen pal Karen from MA sent to me before Christmas! Whhooo hooo did I score or what? THANK YOU SO MUCH KAREN!!

Nov/Dec card classes ... just some of the cards we made!

Let's hear it for VINTAGE ... my stamp gals loved this Christmas card! All designed with the Winter Post stamp set!

(Nov. card class)

Dasher, embossed in silver embossing powder with Heard from the Heart's, Welcome Christmas into your Heart stamp.

Petals a Plenty embossing folder was used for the background of this card. Season of Joy was stamped in Read Red.

(Nov. card class)

Winter post stamp set and Heard from the Heart made a very cute vintage type Christmas card ... quick, clean and easy!

I love how Stampin' Up offers a single stamp! Dasher was embossed in silver embossing powder, accompanied by the welcome Christmas into your heart stamp from the Heard from the Heart stamp set, also embossed in silver.

(Dec. card class)

Delightful Decorations is the name of this stamp set, the designer paper was from the In Color Designer series pack offered as a Level 1 hostess. The Seasons greetings stamp is from the Curly Cute stamp set.

(Dec. card class)

This snowflake card was designed from a combination of the Sizzix snowflake folder that I ran through my Big Shot, the Snowflake #2 die cut, which I ran through my Big Shot as well, and the Winter Post stamp set was used for the fancy little stamped snowflakes, inked in Cherry Cobbler!

(Dec. card class)

This card was made from the Christmas Classics stamp set and the Newsprint designer papers. The little gold bell makes the card so festive!

I am back!!

Wow that was one long break from blogging! Break is over and I am ready to share some blogging with you all.

Why am I blogging again you ask? Well, I did read an interesting article the other day about blogging for your business and how it benefits you. It made since to blog here rather than to pay for a special Stampin' Up! website each month. So ... let's give it a whirl ...

Christmas was a LOT of fun this year, very casual and relaxing! I always seem to get a fairly early start with my Christmas shopping with all intentions of finishing up way early and relaxing the entire 16 days I have off of work on our winter break! Did that happen? Ummm ... "NO" ... there are always some of those last minute, what the heck do I get this person gifts! I also had to squeeze in time for some last minute baking of some of the most wonderful sugar cookies, they were so good that I can't wait to use that recipe for Valentine cookies! Check out this very yummy Taste Of Home recipe ... http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Favorite-Sugar-Cookies?keycode=ZFB

One Saturday Janelle and I went into ONE of my favorite craft stores, Craft Warehouse. They had a make and take center set up to make some of those big, flat marble magnets. I have made them before, but these were a little nicer, so Janelle and I each got to make one and we also got a quick lesson on them and what the secret is to making them clear! Here are the directions ... punch out your piece of designer paper with a 1 1/4'' circle punch, drop a small drop of Judi Kins Diamond Glaze in the middle of the circle, put your clear marble on top - add pressure and let dry, when it is dry, cut excess paper around the edge with scissors, and apply some E6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive to a magnet and glue it to the back of the designer paper, and let dry! I made 6 of the same kind of magnets and found some of the rectangle Christmas tins at Craft Warehouse for $1.99 each ... later finding them at Michael's for 99 cents. Urghh! Using the same designer or scrapbook paper, cut a rectangle to fit the lid, using a corner rounder on the corners. I just used my ATG Gun and stuck that bad boy to the top of the lid, put the magnets inside and tied a ribbon on it ... Whoo la, it is a quick and oh so cute gift for a teacher, friend, neighbor, etc..

Here is a set of WSU magnets, tin and matching note cards I made for a friend of ours! She LOVED them!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

October really did fly by quickly! Although I do enjoy this time of year, it is always so busy. It seems there is always something I want to do or make that I just don't have the time for. I could lie and say that I am going to be way more organized and get things done one time, but I know it doesn't always happen that way!

The ladies enjoyed the Halloween card class and the goodies we made!

* Hershey bar holder - I found this idea of one of the stampin' gals blogs, it is adorable and was a lot of fun to make. Inside I used the word window punch that that candy slips right into!

* Peppermint Spiders - made with a variety of our Stampin' Up punches. Scalloped circle punch, Photo corner punch and 1/2 in circle punch for eyes and just a standard hand held paper punch for the inside of the eyes, and of course peppermint patties for the insides!

* Spider card - This was the only Halloween card we made, the rest were projects to hold our special candies!

* Matchbook M&M candy holder. Holds a snack size of M&M's perfectly, stapled inside like a matchbook and closed up with a bellyband of choice!

The candycorn arrangement is something I saw, that I had to try. Pixie stix topped with scalloped punches and the wonderful Batty For You set from Stampin' Up!

This was a table arrangement at my Halloween card class.
The next day I gave it to my daughter's teacher for her class to enjoy! Along with some peppermint spiders, in which they made earlier this week ... they loved the project and Janelle brought home her adorable spider. I love those little guys, they all seem like they have their own little personality, depending on how we make their eyes! ~CUTE!~

This morning ... being the Halloween morning it is ... Janelle and I made some of the wiches hat cookies!

Just because!

So ... the recipe is really not a big secret so here it is .... Keebler Fudge Mint Grasshopper cookies, Hershey's Kisses and orange frosting. Really, it is a quick, clean goodie to make, and pretty darn cute too! AND .... honestly I can tell ya, they taste pretty good too!

HAVE A FUN AND SAFE HALLOWEEN!!
